Just a few I caught today. The best day I have had on Winni.
Water temp was right at 50 deg. Looks like they will be moving on up in the next few weeks to spawn. |

Where on the lake did you get 'em? Im heading up this weekend for the first outing of the year. Also how deep were you? Curious if they are making their runs up to shallow water for food yet or if they're still being sluggish. Thanks

I fish mainly Moultonborough and Lees Mills area. All the fish were shallow and hit a bunch of different baits. Throw at the rocks and rocky shore line and slow retrieve should work.

Went out saturday for about 4 hours. Got 9 smallies and one largemouth in the boat. Lost 3 or 4 as well. Good way to start the season. The amount of action we got was a pleasant surprise for mid april. Got the girlfriend onto her first smallmouth, and fish, ever. Happened to be the biggest one of the day at a little over 3 pounds. Go figure. Great day all around.
