Weekend Wildlife
There was an abundance of wildlife out and about this weekend.
Riley and Sam were loon watching and managed to get a wave |

My wife likes to put oranges out for the Orioles, I think however the squirrels like them more.

Miss Mallard stopped for a visit and the Merganzer thought it was better to crap on the dock than in the water.

Now I know what it meant...
...I heard two mergansers talking down in Alton Bay. One asked the other "Did you ever find Bear Island South's place?" and the other replied "Yup, I spotted it yesterday!" .
Great pictures.

We hiked the Morse Conservation land in Alton on Saturday and Rosie (our dog) scared a Pheasant out of the high grass next to the woods. She also attracted plenty of ticks that we removed later.

And an eagle too...
I saw an eagle near the Camp Lawrence beach on Friday when I was out kayaking. I'll post a photo tonight. I managed to get a photo of it with my little waterproof point and shoot.
The new puppy liked watching the ducks swim by. Wait untill she's older. It will be hard to keep her out of the water. ps. that merganzer left a bigger present on my dock |

Eagle over Bear Island
Taken with my little point and shoot from my kayak. Shows the result of serious zooming and cropping. Majestic nonetheless. |
