Father's Day at the Wolfeboro Inn
We've eaten there many times lately since the "new menu tasting" and the food and service is outstanding but the brunch's on Easter and Mother's Day were excellent. Sunday Brunch...this time Father's Day seems to be something this place knows how to do really well.
Did you ever go away from a brunch disappointed because the food served got cold....got dry...ran out...or got "old" in the pan? That doesn't happen here. The remarkable Chef Hoke is at the carving station directing kitchen staff to "refresh" the food at every turn. Not only is the food perfectly prepared...not overdone or underdone....but it is prepared with sauces to compliment each entree and seasoned just right. I'll not go into each menu item...I'll leave that for others who were in the packed dining rooms...but I'll just say that it is a buffet brunch that doesn't leave you wondering why you came. And again ...the desserts are creative, homemade, and delicious. As we were walking into the Inn there was a family loading up baggage from their one-week's stay and I smiled and asked how was their stay? They said it was great...they will come back next year. (I was just being nosey and they smiled and commented on how cute my grandchildren were so I asked........) |
