Guess who's coming for Dinner
10 of these big fat, very healthy looking turkeys took a stroll through the backyard this afternoon.

what a day.. it got more exciting than Turkeys..
Well, at least I finally have a definitive answer to the question.. "Does a bear Sh** in the woods?"
The answer is not always.. sometimes in SteveA's yard. So.. after the turkeys left.. this guy (or gal) shows up

Shot with a 70-300mm lens.. at the long end! The picture in the yard was taken from inside my sun room, ( I did have the door open). The ones in the woods are along the river that is behind the house. I took lot's of pictures, but most were terrible due to the growing dark and lack of a flash.

Guess who already had dinner?
I've got a bear proof trash bin inside the barn so if a bear does get in the barn it cannot get to the trash. That plan seems to have backfired sometime Sunday night or Monday morning. I guess if you can't get in the barn you might as well go through the barn.

OMG! THat is scary. I have heard how destructive bears can be. I have heard they will break in a house and knock furniture all over even refrigerators!

Yes, in Meredith. It happened a few years ago also, just to the right of where it happened a couple of days ago. I gues I've got to plastic containers in the "bear proof" enclosure to cut down on scent.
