I need instructions.
I have been a forum member for a while. I am (relatively) intelligent. I can muddle through navigating to where I want to go in the forum, BUT . . .
I don't know how to get to, for example, the last 10 posts in a very, very long thread. I can get to the first series. I can get to the second series. I can get to the very last post, but then I'm stuck. For instance, I would like to read the last 10 or 20 posts on the "What happens if Romney . . . . " thread. I can't figure out how to do it. Anyone else have similar inadequacies? Can anyone instruct me? Please ?? |

Click on the title of the thread to open it up.There's a link on the upper right that shows all the pages or the first 3 and then "last. Click on "last". That will bring up the last page of the thread and in the upper right there will be a box with page number links starting at the last and going backwards. Use those to navigate the pages.

I always go to new posts. Then I click on the little box after the poster's name to bring up the last post. Then I can scroll up to the last post that I have read. Not saying I am right, it just seems quickest for me.

If you click on the button with a check on it, just to the left of the title of the post, it will bring you to the first new post that you (you being the user who is logged in) have not read in that particular thread.

Thank you.
I appreciate the helpful responses. I just figured out that if I switch to
"linear" in the right-hand box marked "display modes", everything else falls into place and I can navigate freely. Thanks for the help. Now I can take on "Skydive Laconia" with confidence. |
