Rt 25 construction in Meredith?

I tried to do a search first, but didn't find anything...
Does anybody know what is going on in Meredith on rt. 25, on the hill, next to the Irving Station / Wine'ing Butcher, where Lavender Blue used to be (and behind that)??
The hillside has been cleared of all the trees and the old Lavender Blue store and a house next to that are gone and they have been doing a lot of digging work, maybe to level it out?
Just curious...

Meredith needs more drug stores....so...If they build it we will come!

Rite Aid is building a store. They wouldn't sign long-term agreement with the folks who own the Meredith Shops Plaza where Hannaford is located.

If true, nice location. Won't have to go into plaza. Hopefully its open 24/7. To bad they don't put a drug store in Moultonborough/Center Harbor area.

They also wanted more space so this building will be twice the size of their former location

Hannaford wanted to put an addition on to add a pharmacy and had an agreement with the landlord so when Rite-Aid`s lease was up they got booted out. Hannaford set up the temporary pharmacy the day Rite-aid closed and will move it inside the addition when completed.

This is exactly correct. We observe that most Hannaford stores have a pharmacy within the building; like Gilford, and many others. They wanted that in Meredith.

Just like McD's did, Rite Aid is doing a great deal of site work!

The space next to Olympia, will be Aubichon's with using outdoor space for their outdoor stuff, sort of like Lowe's fenced.

BTW: they say owner of site is a Hannaford holding company, or something similar.

The nutrition store moved from space of temporary Hannaford pharmacy to Main Street opposite Post Office.
