Akwa Marina
Thanks to my cousin and his boat we traveled to the Akwa Marina Bar this perfect afternoon. Nice lobster bisque, not the greatest ever, but good. The ladies had the salad with chicken, which they seemed to enjoy. There are a bakers dozen in the mussels order. Medium to larger in size than most mussels but they were a bit chewy. Nice atmosphere. Limited docking space, and unless you can dock on the perpendicular dock, which holds about 5 boats, be careful on the outer parallel dock to get a spot with the plenty of bumpers. They tell us they will be open for another 2 weeks.

We were there yesterday afternoon too, sitting right at the bow of the boat. We really like the place. Tthere was only one server and the place was packed, way beyond what they expected so even the bartenders were waiting tables. Wings and fries only for us, good as usual, oh, and the Mailloux Mai Tais are really good too. Corey, the bartender, told us that they are only open weekends for a couple more weeks. Their pricing is more reasonable than other beach bars, and I think the quality of the food is much better than most.

We were at the raised tables and a party of 6 on the poolside. I had a blue ball cap on and stand about 6' 6" and had my back to the pool. Sorry I missed you two.
