Thumbs up Winnisquam Market and Deli -- thumbs up!!

Just a quick shout out to highly recommend the Winnisquam Market and Deli for breakfast, lunch and dinner to go. We no longer stop at DDs or elsewhere as the food is fresh, delicious...the owners and staff friendly and accommodating....and the prices very reasonable.

We also did much Christmas shopping for stocking stuffers and "local" flavor gifts.

Two thumbs up!!!!

Default Great CHILI too!

I have not tried any of the other offerings, but I do know that their Chili is great!* I've had it 3 times in the past month, and each time it was a little different, but just as good. They usually also have one or two soups, as well as meatballs (in tomato sauce) or "Walters" (market) beans. Also saw some type of kielbasa concoction one day that looked pretty inviting. Next time maybe.

* Some time back, I started a thread asking for chili suggestions. I got plenty, but most were inside sit-down restaurants, and I was really looking for good chili in places I could run in and out of quickly (like mom n pop grocery stores). After about a year of searching, Winnisquam Market and Deli is now #2 on my list, right behind the chili at Dos Amigos (Mexican, in Concord) and right above #3, the Chase Street Market and/or Biederman's downstairs deli in Plymouth.

I know they were using all the recipes from Shooters as the Shooters owners was involved with the store in the beginning but now they're out. I know they were asking for there recipes back and I'm not sure if a judge has heard the case yet, or they voluntarily gave them back.

Default Walter's Beans

They also got the recipe for the beans from Walter's Market and have been doing those. I told a friend from Mass and she was delighted to find that out and took back 10 pounds with her. At the same time someone else ordered 40 pounds. I was buying a pound or two a week. Can't get enough of them.

Default Chili

I purchase some great chili at the Tilton Farmer's Market yesterday. The market is open from 10a to 2p Sat and Sun across from Autoserv. Look for the 'Soup Guy' booth and enjoy some great chili and chowda!

Vista Foods deli in Laconia served 'Walter's' beans! If someone request it I can post my chili recipe here.
