OK, Who brought the new guy?
Yep, newbie here... just wanted to say hello to all you Lakers. I've been coming to the lake for about 18 years and was just told about this forum by a friend of mine. Truly a great resource!

Welcome
Welcome RidgeRunner...we're practically neighbors...I live in Milton. Enjoy the site. Watch out for a couple of these characters though-they're an ornary bunch. Did I spell that right?

Hello from another,errrrr, new "person".....
Hi Ridgeeee,
Even though I've been frequenting the Lakes Region for over 60 years (ouch), I'm a newbie here too, although I've been reading as a guest for quite a spell. Lots of nice and informative people here...and a couple of "characters" to boot. Looking forward to jawboning with the "characters" on occasion, you know how cranky us elders can be! Maybe we'll bump into each other at one of my many favorite "eateries" 'round the Winni..... Bon apetite |

Welcome to both of you!
We are going to have to figure out some way of identifying us Winnipesaukee.comers. I suspect many of us cross paths and don’t realize it. |

Mash, my friend still hasn't signed on yet, just another guest enjoying all the discussions and the "Characters". Maybe I can talk him into signing on now.
UTS, can't wait for Ice Out, the old man just picked up a new boat and we'll be back out on the lake after a 5 year hiatus! -RR Last edited by RidgeRunner75; 04-01-2005 at 10:21 AM. |

I Have An Idea...
Hey Rattlesnake Gal,
I'm going to wear a t-shirt with my screen name on it-JkJoshuaTree in huge letters-and I'll leave it on all summer. Sure, I'll be dirty and smelly by the end of the season but at least you'll know who I am. Or maybe we could do something simple like have a meet-and-greet somewhere. I'm open to suggestions.

Weclome
Welcome Ridge Runner. I have been going up to the lakes Region for about 22 years and last year picked up a spot in Wolfebore (had a cottage in Barnstead before that). I found this site a couple of years ago and the information gleaned from here is great!! I especially like the restaurant reviews, as well as fishing and boating news. One of the best suggestions I got on this site made me a great fan of the hot lobster rolls at Waldo Peppers in Wiers beach. I managed to get one late fall and now can not wait until ice out when the boat goes in and one of my first trips will be back to WP's again. Like jk, I too am an almost neighbor (although closer to jk). My for now permanent address is in Quincy. BTW, you can spot who I am on the water as the boat and my screen name are one in the same.

Cafe Press is a 3rd party that handles the entire transaction. If you have any trouble with orders from them you should contact them through the links on their pages. The usually do a great job and so far I've never had any problems. |

Absolutely Shocking!
to quote our webmaster, "....or other apparel you'd be easy to spot. "
I was surprised to see this item in the Winnipesaukee.com store! Classic Thong - Made in USA! only $8.99.....and a great way for us forum folk to recognize each other! By the way....Welcome Ridgerunner! Looks like we've got a South Shore contingent happening here....Norwood, Milton, Quincy, Randolph....and don't forget Skipper of the Sea Q right next door in Sharon. Hey Anyone...
I just looked at my name on the forum and I'm no longer a "junior" member. Does anyone know why? Is it the number of posts you post? That sounded really dumb. Anyway, as long as I'm sounding dumb, congratulations are in order to me for becoming a "member".
Congratulations JkJoshuaTree. Why thank you Jk. You're welcome.

Hey Dude. Just to let you know, I am thinking of all of you up there. It's nice here, just like it was there when I was up last September.
It's a perfect New Hampshire Spring day here, where the grass is cool under one's feet, the sky is pure blue. There's a light breeze, and bright sunshine. I am thinking how I always loved it in New England, when it was like this. I love it here because it reminds me of there, without the winter. It's still all about there, don't worry.

Regarding the thong: I added it to the store selection mostly as a joke. Cafe Press gives me a large selection of apparel for my store and adding the thong was a simple as checking a box online. I even checked with my wife to see if she thought it was inappropriate and she approved. The surprise is that 7 have been ordered (in about 6 months). We'll just have to imagine who is wearing them around the lake. |

Hey...
I just looked at your name and you're a "moderator". What exactly is that title? And how do I become one? I probably don't want the responsibility but its a cool title just the same.
