Hello ladys and gents. I am looking for suggestions on good intercom systems for our sleds. I am leaning towards Collett 900's out of Canada, or Chatter Box Slims due to posts I have seen on other forums, but wanted to get the opinion of other riders here in NH. We all use HJC full face helmets, so wind noise should not be an issue. Thanks for any info you can share.

I have used Chatterbox on 2 HJC helmets for 2 years. We used the previous Chatterbox model for the two years prior to that. The older model only had about a 4 hour active run time and would die halfway through a long day of sledding. The new model (I think its xbi2 plus) works great. I'd say at least 8-10 hours. The units are fine, the recharger is a little finicky, but acceptable. When I ride alone, I listen to music. When riding in groups we usually leave the units live. You can accept phone calls if in cell range. It is great to be able to communicate with eack other. We are heading to Pittsburg Friday for 4 days and there will be a total of 4 riders with them. You can have something like 20 riders with them, but onky 3 can talk at a time. I did have an issue with a unit when I first got them. Chatterbox was great, all apologies and overnighted a replacenent to me. Hope this helps!

We had the older collett's.One of the batteries got weak, and collett went out of business at the time.We upgraded to the Scala riders. These are better in my opinion.I've also tried the uclear's at the grass drags and they worked good walking around with the helmets on.Haven't tried the Uclear's on a sled ,both have bluetooth capability.
