Marked a Monster
For you Salmon/Trout hunters...I was playing with my new big lowrance depth finder with sidescan last Sunday looking at "stuff" related to finding bass in deeper water and I found fish arches, bait clouds, boulders, etc though couldnt get much to bite. Frustrated at low catch I drifted deeper looking at amazement at what must have been baitclouds when I marked the biggest arch yet seen. Twice the length of any other and it appeared, by itself, in sidescan. I am guessing a monster laker or are there other really large fish out there? Interesting it was at the base of a steep offshore drop, 30 ft down on a 33ft flat? Any ideas?

Lake Trout
Likely it was a Lake Trout. My son caught a monster Lake Trout early last week with the rigger set to 30 ft. so he was likely down 32-36ft. The Laker was 31" and 12 lbs. See separate post for pictures and details.
