El Jimador to open soon at the Weirs
According to a post on a different social media, El Jimador mexican restaurant is going to be opening another location at the Weirs, but I dont' see "how soon".
It appears that it will be in the shoppes that are over the Weirs' Channel bridge, near the Weirs' Fire Station. Woo hoo. Used to dock at the Weirs' docks and walk over to Waldo Peppers...now we can do the same thing at El Jimador. Eat yourself silly, then walk it off heading back to the boat. Woo Hoo. Miu bien!!!!

I agree with you 308. We always had a good meal at the El Jimador in Belmont. Can't wait to try their new place.

Passed by the location the other day. It's where the Willow's Restaurant used to be, which then became Michael's Restaurant. The location formerly (though to most people still) known as the Dexter Plaza (and also the first home of The Winnipesaukee Playhouse!).

Jimador at the Weirs is now OPEN.
I can't believe they did this so quickly, but they're apparently open at the Weir's location, just in time for M-Cycle week.
Wasn't there another Mexican place in that location years ago, or did I just imagine that? |

El Jimador
Wife and I stopped in after walking t-shirt alley yesterday.
She had garden salad...very pleased with it. I had sampler...also very happy with food. Couple excellent Margarita's, good price also ($5). Will be back. |

We finally made it here to the Weirs location. Nice decor, but it does get a little loud when it gets crowded. House margaritas were good. I had frajitas vellartas, chicken, beef, chorizo with peppers and onions. Very good. Wife had a couple of soft tacos, chile rellano combination. Also very good. Not busy when we first got there, but got very busy by the time we left. Good food, good service made for a really nice dinner. We enjoy the Belmont location and look forward to returning here. Hopefully next time it won't be raining and we can come by boat.

We stopped for lunch today. Excellent. Not many patrons but it was 1pm.
Staff very friendly and attentive. The portions were large and we took some home. I had chimichunga (sp) and my wife had chicken fajitas. We're going back. |
