Best lobster and steamers place (by boat)
What is the best "traditional" (paper plates and plastic bibs etc.) place on the lake to enjoy lobster and steamers that you can get to by boat?

No, we went to the Lobster Pound once and the "owner" (or man in charge), couldn't have been ruder to us as well as others that were waiting...have to be nice to your customers or we won't come back! Have not and will not.
I say Sandy Point in Alton is a much better bet. |

Went to Sandy Point and got steamers, four kid's meals, one chicken parm dinner, 7 lobsters, and soft drinks for the 8 of us for a grand total of $160 including a 20% tip. It was all excellent.
Also had a meal at Canoe last week. MMMMMM MMMmmmm. Great food there. Sweet potato fries rock! |

Lobster Pound
I don't think the current owner is too concerned with his lobster business. He makes most of his money during Bike Week renting out his lot. He also makes a killing charging for parking. I ate there once and all the food was cold. I made a complaint an nobody gives a damn!
For a good lobster and steamers dinner, I could suggest Wolfetrap in the Back Bay of Wolfeboro. I had good lobsters there but the steamers were overcooked and cold.
