Anyone else catch sight of this on Saturday ? I know it's parked at the entrance to the Weirs Channel, but Saturday it made it's way all the way down to West Alton Marine.
Believe someone told me you can rent it along with skipper/bartender ?? .

Probably need to revisit this under the "seating while underway [Marine Patrol]" thread.

A friend saw it during a evening ride last weekend. Guess it has the old style nave lights (1 fixture with the lights side by side). He said it appeared that the huts shape made it difficult for it to keep a straight course so as it comes towards you it looks like a light blinking green/red/green red. Also had bright white led's all around under the bar. I'm assuming that they don't really plan to move at night very often.
I think it's a great idea and wouldn't mind one floating in front of my place instead of a swim raft. It would certainly get more use! Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

Passed it on Saturday PM at the entrance to the Weirs Channel. Certainly sight to see with plenty of people packed on it! We passed it on the way back and it was anchored down with 2 boats attached and a few more happy customers.
Whoever built it should be considered a visionary ![]() ![]() ![]() |

There is a website, and yes you can buy the "docksider" model without motor and steering parts, its made to just bolt to the end or edge of a dock. They are pretty cool.

I was told secondhand info that these cost $30,000.00 each. I was also told that there is 3 of them on the lake all owned by the same person. There is another somewhere near sleeper point and not sure where the third is...
Take it for what it's worth...hearsay. Dan

Makes sense to me there is one near sleeper, cuz quite frankly I couldn't image that thing making the ride down from Weirs Channels last Saturday to WAM (where we saw it)

Take the motor off it and it would make a fantastic raft!! Although my neighbors probably wouldn't like it!

Seems a bit pricey, to me, for what it is...more than I paid for my tritoon!

I took a short ride on one of these a few weeks ago in Paugus Bay from the Naswa with Don, the owner. He's a nice guy, and I wish him the best with this fun project!
It's designed to go SLOW, about 5 mph or so. There are multiple barrels (21?) under it, not pontoons like most deck boats. From what I understand, Don has the New England exclusive franchise rights ( I could be wrong on this), and is selling these, they are manufactured in FL. It's pretty stable, we rode over or through a wake while I was on it and it just rocked back and forth, probably less than a deep-V boat would under the same circumstances. He told me once a large cruiser kept circling him with a big wake and it handled it with no issues. He's considering getting one outfitted for charters, for this he will add rails and some other changes, insurance, etc. He said some people want to buy these for the fun factor, others to use it as a dock extension, as they are not allowed a bigger dock, but it's ok to tie a boat to the dock (of course). They are coast guard approved, if I remember correctly it's for 12 persons. It has a 30 hp motor, so as designed your not going anywhere fast, and of course it's not designed to be on big water, just calm fun! The "roof thatch" is synthetic and should last for years, I think it has a 20 year warranty similar to roof shingles. He said the flotation barrels are very easy to replace should one somehow get damaged. Considering how they are made, I think it would be very difficult to damage one. Also, considering that there about 20 of them, even if you damaged one or two, I bet that thing will still easily float, unlike any pontoon boat. Fun fact, it's octagon shaped, so you can choose any side to tie up! It makes coming into a dock easy-peasy! Imagine a bunch of these rafted together, I bet it's fun! Give him a friendly wave if you see one on the lake, its something new and different, and brings a smile to most people!

Missed it on Sat. Didn't make it over to WAM till Sun. So, if you can pull up, rope up and drink up, gives a new meaning to bellying up to the bar.

It's missing the key ingredient that every other boat manufacturer shows in the promotional photos. A search of Youtube showed the same thing.

Here's the one near Sleeper's Point. We were up last Friday cruising the coves near Minge and came across it. What fun! Unfortunately, there was no one manning the bar; saw no one at the house. It's right off Smith Point Road. Don't know if this one lived there permanently or not.
