Hi! I need a basic boat trailer to move my son's rowboat back and forth between my camp's storage area and launch. Will not be traveling on road, so lights, etc. are no issue. Willing to do some repairs.
Thanks! Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

Hi Think,
On a similar thread a week ago, one of our pen pals pointed out that there is a small boat trailer for sale (I would imagine at a very low price) at the intersection of Senter Cove Rd and GWH in Tuftonboro. It does not have a ball mount. If you are only rolling by hand it is probably perfect. |

The 'boat parts' heading in craigslist-nh has a small boat trailer in Stow, Massachusetts for one hundred dollars, and it actually looks pretty decent with regard to tires, fenders, lights, and no rust ..... looking at the photos(?) ... a craigslist super steal of a deal from that wealthy state to the south ...... Massachusetts ..... he probably just wants to get rid of it, cheap and fast!
Someone from around these here parts ..... like from Meredith or Laconia would probably be asking $450 for that there trailer, and be doing you a huge favor to let it go for $400.

Quick question, since I'm a newbie with this: the boards in the photo would be to be rearranged since the boat I'm working with is a v-hull? Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

Someone I spoke to today suggested that a jetski trailer could work, so I'm open to that, too.

Also, this is on sale for $250. https://www.harborfreight.com/1195-L...ler-62648.html.
Might be good to have a utility trailer at camp... Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

Suggest go to www.ebay.com and do a search for 'small boat dolly.' They have a $150 galvanized steel, and a $200 stainless steel small boat dolly that is somewhat similar to the $450 aluminum Seitech boat dollies used for moving small sailboats by hand.
Plus, one does not have to drive to Stow, Massachusetts and back, to check it out ...... is brand new ...... and it's a returnable Ebay item.

Recently I've seen a For Sale sign on a stool of some sort parked atop a small flatbed trailer, near the top of the hill above the M'boro town beach on Long Island. I don't know if it's the stool or trailer that's for sale; maybe both.

Thanks for the ideas, everyone. I've connected with my transfer station and a few people with "free" boats and $x00 trailers. Hoping to find something there.
Quick note on my "cheapness": as a teacher, I get paid on a combination of education and years of service. Starting pay is less than half of what top is, which means that--for many things, including my camp, extras, etc.--we've had to be frugal with whereas others--experiences--we can be more liberal. I hope I've not come across as a cheapskate, but rather someone balancing the possessions and opportunities I'd like to provide my family/children and the reality of our financial constraints. I'll post what happens today or tomorrow. Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

Ok, everyone, here's part of what I ended up with. $200. The boat on the trailer is in great shape, but a fellow forum member actually already gifted us a 12' aluminum rowboat that is a bit wider and more stable (and, frankly, has a history I appreciate), so this one will probably go to a friend or maybe I'll keep it for my daughter...
Thanks again for all the help--looking forward to getting L'il Buddy out this weekend! Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

"-" is a hyphen "--" is a dash. If you use just a hyphen when you want a dash, spellcheck and auto-correct often get confused. Spelling: many writers just don't bother to proofread and edit, which is difficult on most smart devices. I attribute many spelling errors these days to the software: to, two, too, your, yore, you're, their, they're, there, etc., etc., etc. |

I'm not a millennial, but the above reply is accurate--two hyphens acts as an em dash on devices that don't have (easy) access to them. I use them when appropriate--to explain something that has just been said, as opposed to a parenthetical comment (which adds potentially unnecessary extra info) or semicolon (which combines two related independent clauses without a comma and conjunction).
