Local Eatery
Yes it is true. Kevin sold the Laconia Local Eatery to Burrito Me. He also cashed out his interest in Osteria Poggio, as well as close down local provisions. He took the inventory from Local provisions and was intending to open up a similar shop somewhere in Vermont.

Sad...
I loved Local Provision's crab cakes. Always wanted to eat at Local Eatery.
I guess in The Lakes Region if you want to try a restaurant, do it quickly.

Let's hope there's a new creative genius behind this venture. If not, trying to maintain the status quo, mediocrity may ruin the place. If a new artist comes in, expect changes. One thing about the Region, culinary expertise seems to pop up with some growing imagination. Tavern 27, Lemon Grass, the original Canoe are among some more.

My understanding is that Kevin ran into some personal problems that required him to cash out of all his business ventures. Next time any of you are in Wayfair please ask about the rumors

We were regulars at Local early on, but had weened off a bit as it got toward the end of Kevin's ownership. We were hesitant to visit after the new owner(s) took over, for fear of disappointment, however we made it by a few weeks ago. Much of the old staff was back, and we were pleasantly surprised by the food as well.

Kevin may have been the owner, but at Local Provisions, Tom was the butcher. Does anyone know the whereabouts of Tom? It would be nice if Tom is able to work in the same line of business in the area. He is a great butcher and super accomodating.
