Posted on their Facebook Page Tuesday Night...
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DOCKSIDE!!
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 Many of you rightly ask if we are open yet. The answer is still no. We are waiting for our liquor license. This is the last license we require. We realize it’s frustrating, but we appreciate your continued patience. Our staff is ready, eager, and excited to serve you! In the meantime, since many of you stated you want to try our food, we’ve elected to offer our fare on a limited basis in a few different ways: Holiday Takeout Menu: We have a special takeout & catering menu for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The menu is available on our website 👉🏻 www.docksidenh.com. 👈🏻We will offer complete dinners for your intimate gathering, as well as family style options for larger celebrations. To place an order please call us at 603-855-2222. Private Holiday Events: For those of you that were hoping we would be open to host your Holiday events, we can accommodate small liquor-free gatherings. If interested, please call us at 603-855-2222 to discuss how we could host your event or provide food services at your location. Gift Cards: You can also purchase Dockside Gift Cards at the restaurant Monday-Friday 9:00am through 5:00pm. It’s been a long road for us and your support, patience and enthusiasm has kept us going. We look forward to a time, very soon, to meet you all!🤗 Thank you, The Dockside Team |

Dockside in Alton Bay
I am looking forward to going to the New Dockside restaurant.
I can’t understand why it is taking so long to get the permits. I would think the state/town would be quicker to help a business that is clearly committed to improving the area. Any thoughts to opening as a BYOB restaurant until the liquor license comes through? Hope to get a chance to eat here this winter. Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

I dined there last night. They’ve done a great job putting a new look on the place. Staff was attentive. I think they’re offering is in line with the other successful operations in the region. Think of Johnson’s.
If managed correctly I think I’ll stick around. |

We ate there for lunch on Sunday. There were the common new place kinks, but no big deal.
The space looks nice. The service was okay, but not great. Our food however was less than mediocre. 1. Clam cakes: rubber balls with only fried food flavor. 2. Spinach artichoke dip; didn't like the chips or the dip. 3. Brussels sprouts - our favorite of the 4. Decent 4. Parm truffle fries: limp, Luke warm and wildly greasy. |

I’ve noticed that service everywhere is terrible. you just can’t seem to get good help anymore, they want a 20% tip but half way through your meal they’re gone...I don’t get it

Can’t fully agree with you as we have had very good and terrific service from many of the local eateries. Could your expectations be a bit high?

I find the local chain establishments to be less accommodating then the local one offs. With that said, the largest of the local chains can be very annoying when it comes to asking how things are

We are at the Lake for 4 months a year...but I can’t remember poor service. Actually, considering the hiring difficulties, IMO the service is generally quite good in our favorites...Lemongrass, the VK, Georges, Tavern 27, Osteria Poggio, Woodshed, the Local, Kitchen Cravings. The only iffy service and disappointing food was at the Corner House and that might have been the turnover in ownership.

Odd, I thought...
A few weeks ago we dined at Olive Garden in Concord. The wait person was attentive and personable.
When the check came there was a notice at the bottom with suggested tip amounts for 10%/15%/20%. We always tip @ 20%, but the suggested tip reflected a different amount. Turned out the suggested tips included tipping on the included tax. I know it's not a great amount more- but it just isn't right. Sadly, I tried to explain to the wait person she was receiving the fair amount, but I got the feeling it didn't compute with her. |

Four of us ate dinner at Dockside on Sunday evening. The food was good, but they were out of my first two choices—petite filet and baked shrimp. They were also out of French Fries so when my husband ordered Fish’n’Chips, instead the fish came with almost cold mashed potatoes! We will return but never on a Sunday night.

I think sometimes we’re quick to criticize and slow to compliment. I am guilty of that. I should have posted this weeks ago. We ate there about three weeks ago on a Wednesday night and were very pleased. The service was very attentive and the food quite good. My only complaint was that I had ordered steak tips medium rare but they were well done when they arrived. They offered to take them back, but I said no because the flavor was still very good. They took them off the bill and gave me another order to take home. I couldn’t ask for more.
I think they’re a step up from Johnson’s. I look forward to returning. |

“Rare” customer service...
I must say that we frequent Alton restaurants all the time: Dockside, JP China, Shibley’s, Ackerly’s and Johnson’s....while all different in style and food, we still receive good service, quality food, great value and an overall very pleasant dining experience.
