Delicious Pizza!
Long time resident and pizza lover.
Had the opportunity to try Elvio's in Moultonborough again last week and met new owner Joey. He couldn't have been nicer; accommodating, visible and upbeat. Engaging his customers and listening to their concerns and wishes. We had a large cheese, a large pepperoni/sausage and a large salad.............all were absolutely fantastic; service was terrific and the speed of preparation, perfect. Wishing Joey and his team much success and all the best......! |

We've had great experiences at Elvio's as well--looking forward to getting back there in a couple months!

New owner
How new is the new owner ?
Last summer the food was in general good but the service piece was a total disaster and folks stopped using them. They seemed to have sufficient help but a lack of management |

Ownership Change w/Elvio's Employee (response to BB)
Billy Bob,
New owner (Joey told us) he has been in place as new owner sometime over the last few weeks, not certain exactly when. BTW, he further explained he has worked at the Elvio's up north for quite sometime. He was very personable and genuinely concerned about customer satisfaction while we ate our food. *Again, service, food and cleanliness of the facility was beyond very good. Going back this weekend. Hope this helps. |

No reason to hold him responsible for the previous owners shortcomings. ( you had posted a less then flattering post ) and things never changed last year. On to the new year and wish them best of luck |

Is Joey a new "Owner" or a new "Manager" sent over to fix the Moultonborough location?
Elvio's is family owned and the North Conway restaurant website lists the Moultonborough restaurant as a second location. I doubt that they "SOLD" the Moultonborough location separately. I went by twice late last summer and the pizza was very skimpy and dull in taste. Hopefully they turn things around..... ....and take down all of the "Closed" and "Help Wanted" signs in the glass front door. It looks like crap and all the tape holding up the various paper adverts looks cheap. I never know if they are open because the sign never moves. Just my 2¢. |

Italian sub...to go...
Ordered it with "NO MAYO"!
When the person who took my order gave me my sub to go, I not only asked her, if there was no mayo, but also asked the person who made it...I was told. "No mayo"...Shoulda looked. Got home and threw it out. Just scrapping it off won't do it. I did no go back all summer.

We have given up on chain pizza and now prepare our own. Purchase dough or frozen cheese pizza and add whatever the mood allows. Plan now is to make our own dough. Can't be that difficult. If successful, on to making bread that tastes like bread. For what it is worth Dominoes is the worst pizza anywhere.

..... 3-minute microwave
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Valu...Count/46491740 Call me crazy, but I love these 3-minute microwave, 5" mini pizzas for $3.98/four-pak ....... you know there's actually some people who live right here in New Hampshire who get along just fine with coffee and mini pizza .....

.... 99-cent pizza slice, Weirs Beach Cumberland Farm
What's got to be the very best thing happening in Weirs Beach, all year 'round, is the 99-cent pizza slice at the Cumberland Farm ...... or the super slice ..... for 2.69.
www.cumberlandfarms.com/food/pizza For some unknown reason this pizza by the slice doesn't happen at the Meredith Cumby ....... but it does at the Weirs Cumby ..... and is worth the trip from anywhere. En route to Lowe's or Walmart ...... first you stop at the Weirs Cumby for a 99-cent slice ...... then you hit the Meredith Village Saving for a free cup of Newman's organic coffee .... then you go to Lowe's and buy a $3.29/60-lb bag of all-purpose sand for just one dollar because the bag got torn up or broken ...... and you are good to go spread some all-purpose sand on the ice and drink coffee for the rest of the day! .....

Not all the denizens of the Lakes Region are financially secure; many would appreciate knowing about money-saving tips on local products. I suppose the murky question would be "Does FLL really mean to be helpful, or is he just stirring the pot?" Whatever, if the information is correct and of benefit to some then it should be welcome on this board.

Oh, my bad: I thought you were being sarcastic. FLL catches a lot of flak, not all of it deserved.

For what it's worth ...... I usually dig deep, spend the big money, and go for the super slice ...... is basically a quarter of a pizza ..... and comes in a super slice holder that makes it more doable to drive a 5-speed stick shift, eat the pizza, drink coffee ..... all at the same time ...... while safely driving down the 35-40-mph Weirs Blvd ..... as long as the phone don't ring ...... and looking at Paugus Bay. .....

Here's what it says in the NH-DMV link. "Avoid multi-tasking: While you may be tempted to respond to a work email, adjust the GPS or start eating some fast food in the car, these small actions can cause accidents. Try to focus on driving and keep your eyes on the road whenever possible." It sure seems like a contradiction in public driving safety that the federal government allows all the big car makers to sell their 2020 cars and trucks with large computer info screens in the middle of the dash board, and at eye level. It encourages drivers to drive the car and look/use the 'puter screen, both at the same time. Maybe this is why many NH drivers choose to drive large vehicles including pick-up trucks because there is more safety surviving a head-on collision in a big vehicle. You cannot control who hits you, but you can drive a bigger car/pick-up truck. Do believe I will seek a good used Mack 10-wheel dump truck for my next ride, what with all the distracted driving that happens, here. A Mack dumper is a good, big, safe vehicle for every day use! ..... Besides, will be able to eat my super slice high up in the dump truck without getting caught!!! ...

.... when they ban the dashboard info screens, they must also ban the automatic transmission and require all cars to have a 5-speed stick shift. To keep your driver's license, you must demonstrate driving a stick shift while eating a $2.69 super slice Weirs' Cumby pizza ..... at the same time ..... or else you flunk ...... you lose your license ..... no exceptions!

Do you think you may try one in the near future? That's a great marketing name, a great way to sell pizza, by calling it a super slice ..... is very descriptive and easy to understand ..... the super slice! Not sold at the Meredith Cumby, for some unknown reason, but YES ..... is sold at the Weirs Cumby. Is like the only all year 'round pizza place in the Weirs, or something! Maybe someone can post a photo of their Weirs pizza display case .... the real pizza deal ..... hot pizza ..... from Route 3 in Weirs Beach!
