On one of our forums someone posted that it was necessary to "register" any swim raft, claiming that this was a new rule by Marine Patrol. I inquired with Marine Patrol, and there is no such new rule. They did suggest that some form of identification be on the swim raft in case it gets loose, so that they will know who owns it so it can be returned.
Don't worry no registration is required of swim rafts! |

Once upon a time, long ago, powers that were thought registering swim rafts would be a good idea. Then they experienced it and changed their minds...

I think that the registration issue came up in 2005.

They suddenly realized that there where more swim rafts in the state of New Hampshire then they ever thought. To regulate them was going to be a nightmare.... Just like they have found regulating Moorings is a nightmare....
