I hope the individual is OK. Not sure of the details of this accident. I often see people on the wrong side of the red buoy.

WOW, I really hate to hear about accidents where boaters suffer internal injuries or worse,,,
Its supposed to be fun, not deadly. Hope he has a speedy recovery. |

I never posted about it, but we took Boatie Two out with some of my son's friends last week (5/22), and I was blown away by how many horrible moves I saw.
One boat stopped dead...just to the north of the reds of the Graveyard and THEN pulled out a chart, a bunch came much closer than even a non-150'-educated boater would, someone flying directly towards Middle Ground Shoal (no idea how that went), and a whole host of chaos at the Wolfeboro docks, including a dude who tried copying my turning and backing in but ended up drifting sideways towards the ramp with half a dozen people intervening to keep from crushed vessels and hitting ground. I have no idea if the above was a beginner, but given the exponential increase in new boaters this summer, things are gonna be interesting.
