Bobcat vs. Fox near Winter Harbor

2 weeks ago, a nice looking bobcat appeared in the neighborhood. As it walked off, the otherwise healthy looking animal had a noticeable limp.

We have a gorgeous neighborhood fox who we see at least once a week.
Well, the day after I saw the bobcat I heard animal 'screaming' and I looked out front and I saw the fox pursuing the bobcat across the street. I grabbed the phone but I didn't get decent video, but I caught some fox screaming.

I believe usually the bobcat is the predator in these situations, but maybe the bobcat injury and/or the fact that it is fox mating season could have played a factor here.

Anyway, it was a nice little exchange and I think each went off unscathed, from what I could tell.

A few years ago I heard what sounded like a baby crying outside. Went to look and saw a bobcat moving across the lawn with a deer chasing it. Turns out the deer had a fawn in the woods and was protecting it from the cat. First time I ever heard that sound from a bobcat.
