Final Run - Fall 2023
Closed out this boating year Thursday evening, got a couple of good shots; sad to see the season end, happy that it happened. Until next year!

My Last Run
My last run out on the lake will be Saturday afternoon (10/28/2023) and then my boat comes out of the water for the year. All the gear will be removed from my boat, all the cushions removed from the cuddy, the water drained from the engine block, followed by a quick wipe down and vacuuming of the cockpit deck. And then off to the boatyard for winterization, shrink wrapping, and storage. And there it shall remain until early next May.
It wasn't one of the better boating seasons considering a lot of the wet weather this past summer. I think I used one tank of gas between Memorial Day and Labor Day. I've used 5 since Labor Day, making up for lost time. I tend to use closer to 10-12 tanks of gas from May to the end of October. Well, maybe next year...sigh |
