This invasive weed began in a planting bed of lillies and has now spread to the surrounding lawn area over the last couple years. It just mocked me and laughed at me when I put down the Scotts Turf Builder plus Weed Killer. Any thoughts as to what this thing is and how to get rid of it? (I did pull it out of the planting bed the old fashioned way a couple years ago, but the darn thing came back)
Thanks! |

I am not sure what weed it is, but a liquid weed killer for in grass applications might do the trick. There are also multiple apps for the phone that allows you to scan the plant/weed/leaf and it will tell you what it is and how to take care/kill it

Try liquid weed B Gone. It has 2 4 D that will attempt to systematically kill the dichotomous weed and leave the monochot grass alone. Your lilies are dichots too so don't spray them!

While we are talking about water quality of the lake in one thread, we are giving advice about what weed killer to use. Why is anyone using fertilizer and weed killer around the lake?
If you really have to get rid of the weed, how about just using old-fashioned vinegar and salt and Dawn detergent? |
