milfoil sticker
Put into law 7/1/2019. A $20 fee for boats registered out of state to help control the weed. As I say "Live Fee or Die".

and taxes. Of course, we welcome non-resident registrations so non-residents can pay the full fee, not just $20. |

A “decal to show you paid your boat fees”
Isn’t that what the registration sticker was, then you have to pay a fee to show that you paid your fees More and more like MA Just raise the registration instead of insulting me further

You know this new triangle-2025 boat sticker will only cost you three dollars for the two new stickers for your boat, the same as one gallon of gasoline from a gas station, $3.00/boat.
This new triangle sticker is a work around legal mechanism that fixes their New Hampshire federal $1,500,000 funding, recreational boating law enforcement grant requirements administered by the U.S. Coast Guard so New Hampshire continues to get this funding in 2025. January 2, 2025, Moultonborough news flash: http://www.moultonboroughnh.gov/Civi...s.aspx?AID=197 It is something about the New Hampshire redistribution of boat registration funds to the NH Fish and Game and the NH Dept Environmental Services which the Coast Guard says is a violation of the federal grant funding rules, or something. This is supposedly the same case for fifteen other U.S. states as well.

yup this is a sticker for NH registered boats,
the law passed in 2019 was a requirement of out of state registered boats to have a milfoil sticker for NH. so NH boats will have two stickers on them for at total of four on the boat, seems pretty simple that you could have just raised the boat registration fee or maybe redesigned the single sticker, or anything more than spending more money and reducing the amount of the extra $3 they are charging you for the sticker. Welcome to Northern Massachusetts - where we make you buy a sticker to prove your paid for the sticker it has to be displayed beside that is only good when you buy it every year - this seriously passed a two branches of government in a state without this being an issue? I could not even get it by my 18 year old

Looks like by the end of February - and that's just the renewal form
Hi folks:
Just called the State and they said it will take them until the end of February to get all of the renewals forms out. Assuming they meet that date, including the wait time for the actual decals, it should have them in our hands by April 1. In the meantime, they said you can mail-in a renewal form yourself and it will make the process go faster - or of course go to any of the DMV locations with a renewal form yourself and get that stuff done even faster.... |

"Please sign the owner's copy of the renewal notice and mail to the address below along with the fee..." I have been renewing by mail for years and have only sent back the signed owner's copy and a check for the fee. I always get my registration certificate with a validation stamp and decals in return, and nobody has told me I am doing it wrong. |

It is confusing. I think the state sends all the forms so that the boater has the option to either register in person at a town office, MP, etc. where all the forms are necessary, or do it through the mail, in which case only the signed owner's copy needs to be dealt with.
