Question Ooo-ooo lake monster...

Folks once talked about Winni...the rumor of a Nessie-like lake monster. Any news? Here is a story a friend from Bear Island told me. He was up very late - about 3 a.m. - on a completely calm, quiet summer night several years back. No boat sounds, nothing. Out of nowhere a huge cascade of waves hit shore, lasting near a minute. He was convinced the waves came from "Winni" or one of her relations, playing out near the buoys. What say you, Lake folks?

Wink

Could be a monster.
My latest strange thing that I saw was a random wave on a calm lake. This was in early spring. The wave kept being created but there was no boat or anything floating. I finally got out the binoculars and saw a loon just under the surface of the water. He eventually surfaced and sure enough it was a loon.
All the creatures play at night.

Well, if thats what you caught and there was a teeny jetski there too it must have been the Shriner-Hamsters.

Default Hummmmmm

Was it off Bear Island or Bare Island?

Seems like there may be a more resonable explanation for strange wakes at 3.am

What say you folk? I say your friend has a drinking problem and should seek help. First of all, what would he be doing sitting by the edge of a lake at 3 a.m.? Maybe he should go sit at Moulton Farm and see if any crop circles are being formed in the corn field.
