Daylight savings Time - Fall behind...
Just curious...
Noticed the clock did not change with the changing of the time, today.

Clocks....
I believe if you are logged in and have the correct time settings in your user control panel, you will be getting the correct time.
If you are not logged in, the software has no idea what time zone you are viewing from, so you see the default set time. I think Don can set the default server time to anything he desires....but the critical factor for viewing the correct time is for you being logged in with the appropriate CP settings. Am I close Don? |

Very interesting...
Viewing the site without being logged in, your post time is 3:59 PM and when logged in, it shows 2:59 PM. Had not noticed that before. Thanks for the explanation.

Someone has been busy...
The clocks (logged in and not logged in) are in synch. Thanks! Appreciate the time, effort, and energy it takes to keep my simple mind happy. P.S.- Found this picture of the Webmaster...

Unintended Consequences
I did make an adjustment to the forum time and thought everything was fine. However, I started getting reports that logged in members could not access PhotoPost. Thanks to the PhotoPost support forum I discovered many other webmasters having the same problem after adjusting the DST settings. The only way I could fix it was to tell the Forum software it was in Central time and turn DST off. PhotoPost uses the Forum profiles which contain your personal time/DST settings and this workaround seems to have patched the problem for now.
This is apparently a new bug which just surfaced with the arrival of DST. Hopefully it will be fixed by spring when we go back to standard time. |

kinda like my old watch
I have an old timex watch that I really should throw out, because it ceased running a few years ago. But it still has its good points, because it is right on the money twice a day!!

The bug seems to have returned. Was looking at the submit time of a response to a post in Photopost. It showed Sat January 6, 2007 4:24pm and my system clock showed January 6, 2007 2:23. Guess I'm living two hours behind the world. Anyone have a bottle of ketchup?

Just for jiggles and giggles, I logged in and checked the submit time of the same PhotoPost comment, as my prior observation was without being logged in.
Now it diplays Sat January 6, 2007 11:24am. Guess that bottle of ketchup did the trick, and then some...
