We overheard a woman expounding to her friends how they were going over to "Pegasus Bay". I believe she meant Paugus unless there is a Pegasus Bay I don't know of.

I think if we capitalize "lake" we should just go ahead and capitalize "the" too. As in, "The Lake is my favorite place".

The difference is slight, but there seems to be a nasal "n" suggested in Midge. I wonder if the original name was Midge, but when spoken, the spelling got corrupted? (Like Mumbai from Bombay, and Beiping from Peiping). ![]()
