Default Be Careful Out There

In our haste to get out onto the lake after work this evening (Wed 8/29), I must not have sufficiently anchored the mooring covers. When we returned to the dock, the bow cover piece was missing. It was almost dark. Too late to retrace our route from Quayside under the bridge then out to the tip of Long Island where we turned around and went back and up to Chases Point, then back under the bridge to Quayside.

The cover is faded red. Please keep your eye out for it. I'd hate to read of anyone getting hurt because of my carelessness. If you do see it and are able to safely retrieve it, we'd be ever so grateful if you'd give us a shout.

If anyone happens to have a spare bow cover for a '97 Bayliner Capri 185 we'd be interested in talking. I don't care what color.

I wouldn't worry, it's probably at the bottom of the lake by now. They don't float very long.
