Lemon Grass...so good
There was a bit of discussion as to the status of Lemon Grass, since Mike Love left. Well I am here to tell you that it is great. Apparently Mike went into it with the knowledge that he would help get it started, (using his good name and local connections), and then bow out once it was up and running. So , in reality there was no break in the continuity since the beginning. We had lunch there las week and it was delicious. The crab and lobster martini and the the soft egg rolls were very good. The grilled salmon was as fresh as any I've had and prepared with a light and extremely fresh oriental salad. We took some sushi home for dinner and it was just wonderful. They were very accomodating, particularly since we got there a few minutes after they were supposed to have stopped serving. I am very happy to report that one of my favorite restaurants is still one of my favorite restaurants!

Agreed
We make sure to visit at lease once a summer. Take the boat to the Center Harbor Docks and walk up. It really isn't that far a walk. We purposely make sure we have 7+ people when we go so we can reserve one of the "tea rooms." This is a must do for those who enjoy fun and unique dining experiences. The tea room is elevated with floor seating. Your legs are under the table which is lower than the floor. It simulates the whole dining on the floor thing. Anyway, the food is always excellent and the Sake is good too.
A+ for atmosphere (tea room) and food. We have had great service as well. This place is a must try for everyone! |

No Lemon Grass Soup
Can you imagine it. You go to the Lemon Grass for asian cooking, and discover they have no lemon grass soup. The food is good, but it is a bit non-traditional.
