Default Tilton/Airport diner

My new favorite is the Tilton/Airport diner (same menu). These are Comman Man restaurants which we don't usually care for. We went to the Airport Diner in Manchester a few weeks back when they were running the tips special. The meat was cooked to perfection and filled the plate. To top it off I had their strawberry shortcake which the server said was as good as grandma's. It was. By the way, Thursday is tips special night ($9.99) and college students can get two dinners for the price of one from 4 to 7. Both my kids will be heading over to the Airport Diner as they are big tip lovers.

So last Monday when we had to make a run down to Exit 20 to go to Home Depot my son and I stopped at the Tilton Diner for dinner. We both had the BBQ dinner which was pulled pork and chicken breast served with fries, coleslaw and baked beans. Both of us were very pleased. And to top it off I had to have the shortcake again. Yum. My wife was not with us so I had to make another stop Sunday night on our way home which worked out very well considering that was when they were cleaning up the 7 car pileup that was backed up to Exit 20. I tried the cordon bleu bake which was an interesting combination of breaded chicken strips, ham and a cheese sauce. My wife had the turkey dinner which she said was good but not as good as Hart's. All thee times that we went there was a short wait but they turn the tables over pretty fast and we only waited for a few minutes each time.

We found that the Diners are great values and serve good food. Maybe they'll add a fifth Common Man restaurant in town and call it the Meredith Diner.

We've always had good meals at the Tilton diner. We've only been there for breakfast, though, with the same speedy service. No complaints at all.
