Tuesday morning, The Broads were occupied by three sailboats—and nobody else! We were later treated to a terrific show by a very skilled water-skier enjoying the nice weather and smooth waters, directly off Rattlesnake Island.

One of the top waterskier in the nation recently move from the lake to Rocky Pond off Rte 106 in Gilmanton. I stopped the other day to watch him practice. What a show!

One of the nation's top female wakeboarder move from Winter Harbor to Lake Norman in NC. I remember her practicing. My spine tingled just watching her do a double flip off a boat wake! Impressive.

I vividly remember Dick Durrante from the late 50's and early 60's and the shows that the local water ski clubs use to put on. Those were the days.

The 'Catalina style' water ski marathons on the lake were another treat gone by. Glad I was blessed to be on the lake during the best years.
