After spending 53 summers there I was amazed to find out from the show that Alton is one of the upscale towns on the lake.

It was great to see the back bay in Alton and some of the older homes along 28A. I would have gone with the house in Tuftonboro myself. Can't understand those folks obsession with a green lawn. The place they chose looked more like it belonged in Bedford than a Lake Winni vacation spot. No trees, either, but then again the wife complained that the trees in Tuftonboro blocked her view. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

If you saw my lawn in Bedford you wouldn't think that.
