Default why would you do that?

NHboat61: why would you feel okay about circling a swimming animal on a jet ski? I don't care if you were observing the 150-foot rule - just doesn't seem like a good thing to do.

There were skiers and tubers around and I was concerned that they would not see the animal and run into it. It's head was barely above water. I just idled around it so others would see me.

thanks for the clarification. I know when they swim you can only see a little blob of a head above the water. Amazing they can swim at all with thos skinny legs!

Arrow Dogs Can't Climb...

OK, they're not exactly "like a dog".

My yellow lab can climb the ladder on our swim raft. So, not all dogs can climb, but some can.

It's funny that I just saw this thread. My son just called me from M-Dith and told me a big momma bear actually broke the storm AND entry door to the guest cottage. She had 3 cubs with her that were in a tree until she "called" them to come down. Exciting morning.

That bear and 3 cubs is still around here on Meredith Neck off Cummings Cove Rd. She and her 3 cubs were spotted checking out our trash barrels which were empty last week by the neighbor. No damage and they left quietly.

Wink "Are those raspberries on your breath?"

More "species interaction", from the Weirs Times:

I see the previous link is no longer available...so after a brief ad...and a brief Jimmy Fallon (seen in Wolfeboro seasonally)...a too-brief shot of a bear climbing a ladder to observe the cameraman.
