The current water temperature of 38 is 10 degrees colder than last year on this date. The water temperature didn't reach 38 until the 3rd week of December last year. The first reports of ice skimming last year were Dec. 26th ish. There's not enough constant cold air for ice yet, but we are set up for an earlier "ice in" than last year.

I highly doubt the water temp is 38*....must be something wrong with the sensor. Its just too early for water temps that low.
