Boat still in the water?

This was the scene in Alton Bay yesterday (11/30/2013).

Yep that is a boat pretending that it is a combination ice breaker and tow boat working its way through the ice in the Bay. All you could here is crunch, crunch, crunch.

I am sure that there is some logical reason why the boat needed to be pulled out of the water in Alton versus Wolfeboro or any other location that was not iced in.

It was funny to watch as they had to smash their way through the ice with hand tools.
