![]() Agreed, Makris has very good seafood and worth the drive. http://eatalobster.com/ If I wanted lobster local I would take the RLW approach: buy them live and toss them into the pot. The only place we get it out is chauncey creek, in the rough (is there any other way) an BYOB. http://www.chaunceycreek.com/ |

Market Basket steams lobsters for no extra charge. I think it was $5.99 or $6.99/lb last time I was in there.

Hannaford steams them free of charge as well, but oddly enough they are then subject to the rooms and meals tax because they become 'prepared food.' I discovered this recently and, while I suppose I get the logic, I was a little miffed.

The weathervane serves a decent lobster dinner and the upstairs seating is very comfortable. In my opinion it definitely surpasses the Lobster Pound.

I believe that LuvLake is looking for a restaurant with more options than one or two boiled / steamed lobsters.
While I can also be a happy camper doing my own lobsters and steamers, some folks want someone else to do the work. Sandy Point does have boiled lobsters, baked stuffed, lazy lobster (boiled and taken out of the shell, and lobster casserole. Doing this from memory. May have missed an option or two. Hope you find a place to your liking, LuvLake. BTW, Sandy Point ain't cheap.
