Also, I love the bake stuffed lobster at Barnacle Billy's in Perkins Cove, it is pricey but it is done right.
Yeap, if you want seafood, Maine is the place to go! I get my fix at the Clam Shack. Located at the foot of the bridge in Kennebunkport. Reasonably priced and the best fried clams or oysters in NE. While you are there visit 'Federal Jack', right out back for local brew.

We used to go with a dear departed friend of ours and his significant other at least a couple of times a Summer. We always (he and I) got the King Baked Stuffed and the ladies had something much smaller. He and I would joke between claws and tails, that one of us just had an artery close up!!! MORE BUTER PLEASE!!! I need to go again just to toast Carl. I really miss you Buddy.

Wave 'cuz I'll be Wavin' (a lobster bib) back!!!

Well my recommendation is not exactly in the lakes region, but..I am a self confessed lobster aficionado. I'd challenge anyone in the Lakes region to try and beat the lobster roll at Reds in Wiccasset, Maine.
This is the standard by which I judge lobster rolls. Indubitably, the best lobster roll on the planet.

Reds is the best. Just plan to get there early or be prepared to wait in a long line. Yum.

I'll third Red's. Last time we went our wait was only 35 minutes. Their Lobster rolls are the very best anywhere.

Default Thanks!

Thank you for all of your suggestions. We ended up at Sandy Point. We were happy that they had a lot of options - at least one person in our party prefers a "lazy man" option. Also, the service was great - very friendly and attentive. It was expensive but we were prepared for that. We usually only do this once per year so that is ok.
