Herd immunization, take those that are in the best health and condition to survive this and expose them to it. Let them build a natural immunity to it. Novel idea. This would effectively slow it's uncontrolled spread as there would be far less targets to infect.

On paper and in theory this sounds plausible. Definitely a different approach.

The liability a community would have is off the charts. With that said, the isolation thing is concerning to me. Are we just expanding the life of this virus by keeping everyone away. The assumption being made is that the virus dies off without a host. Are we sure about that? If it lives longer then one believes then this issue is around for awhile. Then the sh&$ does hit the fan. Yes, there are two micro biology majors in the family so I have a small bit of knowledge here
