How old is your son? I'm not sure this would work for us, son is going into 6th grade....... homework city! Sounds like a wonderful plan, however! (hmmmmmm...... maybe it'll just be my own personal official holiday )

Default 30's tonight - wow!

OK folks - cover the flowers and turn on the bubblers at the docks to prevent ICE IN!

Alright - so it wont be that bad - but it is going to drop to near record lows tonight and the North Country is under a Frost Advisory!! BRRRRRRRRRRR!

Who's up for an early early early morning dip in the warm waters of the big lake! It'll feel like bath water at 5am!

He's going into 5th, and well if I can play hookey then so can he. Part of the deal is that he has to get his work from his teacher for the day. I think that's half the fun of it for him. He gets to tell the teacher that his family has its own personal holiday.

Frost advisory? Wow. It was 60 this morning, so I turned the heat on a little and rolled the window down. I don't want to get our hopes up or jinx us, but could this be a sign of a good winter? good = snow and thick ice

I started bringing the Bobhouse out onto Saunders Bay this morning, but the ice was a little soft!

As of Thursday, the lake temp. is roughly equal to that of the first week in Sept. '05. I have a hard enough time dealing with the change from Summer to Autumn as it is. I can only hope that mother nature slows down just a little

Default Lake Temp!

I noticed that on Monday 8/7 the water temperature reading on the GTX was 79 but by the end of the week it was down to 75. Not sure how accurate it is but it did show a drop. The 3 days of wind and cool weather sure helped cool things down.

Did someone say the Babes are starting their SNOW DANCE?

Default Yes I am/was!

I was there and tried to get up to Rattle Snake. It was a bit ruff! GH should be around this week end. See the photo post of Rattle Snake Island it was from Monday after the Noreaster let up.

The ice picture is from this past Feb. so it is not to old.
