I have found that 4 blade aluminum props are a pretty decent alternative to 3 blade SS props for 1/3 the price. The extra blade reduces flexing by reducing the load per blade so they bite almost as well as a three blade SS.

I put a 4 blade SS prop on my previous boat and was thrilled with the performance. That prop felt incredibly well "connected" to the water, much better than the twin 3 blade SS props I now run on my current boat.
