I have a family member who buys large quantities of steak tips at Tuckaway. He freezes them and put them on airplanes, with ice packs, in checked luggage for winter enjoyment in Florida. So far so good. It would get expensive if the flight was delayed and the meat thawed and went bad!

I’ll box it up early in the am before we leave and by the time we arrive in the afternoon it’s still frozen solid. A few large ice packs is plenty. Headed back down in a month! |
