What other places have been good for food this season? Anyone on "The Tamarack" Drive-in? Breakfast spots seem to be weak in the area.... I myself do not like to eat a 1 Egg Omlette, and would be embarrassed to serve one to a paying customer! :confused How about Lakeside and The Weirs Diner? Both these places are owned by the same people, and have alot of background in the business.

Breakfast: Union Diner or Ames Farm.
Lakeside for breakfast or lunch. Myrna's is a nice change from the usual dinner spots: https://www.facebook.com/myrnascc/ |

For breakfast we like George's (especially when they have red hash!) or for pancake breakfast we go to Heritage Farm. Both can get very busy so we don't go out for breakfast much on in the summer. Looking forward to eventually trying Trolley 27's waffle breakfast sandwiches but haven't made it yet. For dinner in the summer we like to go to less busy places like Phu Jee or George's (dinner) otherwise we get takeout from places like the Lakeside.

The French fries at Tamarack are the best I’ve had around the lake. Crispy.

In Bristol, try the Village Pizza, located on Route 3A, Lake Street. They have very good pizza, AND really good whole bellied fried clams during the summer season. Clam roll, clam basket or clam dinner. Excellent!

I agree with the above post giving props to the Soda Shoppe in downtown Laconia.
It's a good place to get off the tourist path and hang with the locals. We've only had breakfast there, but it's always been good, and reasonably priced.

I always ask before ordering turkey anything (hot sandwich, club, etc.) if they use sliced roast turkey or “lunch meat” turkey....if it’s lunch meat, I order something else.

If heading down to Rochester for supplies be sure to stop in at the Farmer's Kitchen on Rt. 11 in Farmington for breakfast or lunch.

I didn't know that. Donald mows our lawn and I knew it was his brother but I didn't connect them to Edgewood. Donald is a really nice guy. I guess it's a week for small worlds, isn't it?

I’ve changed my mind on the best French fries. After lunch today I vote for the Surfside burger bar at the Weirs. The fries are lightly seasoned and extremely tasty. The hamburger was extremely good too.

We like
Water Street Cafe Country Cooking across from Walmart. Had the Turkey and wasn't deli Union Diner, food ok but the place is filthy T-Bones is great and the rewards also helps Lyons Den, probably best restaurant on the lake Sawyer's, Yuck. But my wife likes clam strips although they are not so good lately. Common Man, forget them all --------------------------------------------- I am a retired workaholic and continuing aquaholic |

It always amazes me how different we all are when it comes to restaurants reviews. For example I love t bones also but unlike you I enjoy the common man establishments, Union Diner is my favorite breakfast place along with Kitchen Cravings and in no way do I think Lyons Den is the best restaurant on the lake. O, Canoe, Woodshed to me are all far better and I give honorable mention to Ellacoya one of my favorites and Bob House Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

Because Dick White owned it. Didn't we have a discussion the other day on here about Dockside too? I don't remember that personally but somebody said on the Wolfeboro forum on FB that Dick White ran Dockside and they mentioned Dick Marden. I did remember then that Dick Marden was the manager when Phil Stevens managed it
